Matt was born in Southwest Florida and raised in LaBelle.  He is a member of the Florida bar, a Florida Real Estate Broker (currently inactive), and a notary public. 

Prior to joining the Kushi Law Firm team, Matt operated a small law office for five years in LaBelle.  His practice focused on estate planning, probate, real estate and business law. 

He received his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where her served as the VP of the Entertainment, Arts & Sports Law Society, and was a member of the National Telecommunications Moot Court Team.  Matt earned a B.A. in History, and a B.A. in Philosophy from Auburn University.  While at Auburn he helped form the Ethics Bowl Team, and was a member of the National History Honor Society: Phi Alpha Theta.

Matt, his wife, Lillie, and their four children live in LaBelle.  They are also proud dog parents of the POWPOWPUPS! Hershey the Labradoodle and Willow the German Shepherd.  In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with his family.  While growing up in Southwest Florida, he developed a love and respect for our unique environment, and of course, a passion for fishing.  Football, biking, and cooking are a few of his other hobbies.
