Enita Kushi

Enita Kushi, Attorney At Law

It was my dream to be a lawyer since I was 6 years old. I love helping people and improving their lives. As a lawyer, I help clients from all different backgrounds, with different issues and expectations. I can easily explain complex concepts to clients in simple terms and put them at easy about their cases. I am compassionate and will listen attentively and help you break down the issues in your case and come up with a solution that meets your goals.

Who do I help? I meet and help people single people, married people, widows/widowers, children taking care of their parents or grandchildren taking care of their grandparents. Life is full of surprises and you do not know when you will need to step up to help a friend or a neighbor.

In what areas do I help? I guide clients in the areas of estate planning, elder law, incapacity planning, probate, guardianship, and Medicaid planning. My experience and care allows me to confidently and professionally guide all of my clients through an emotionally difficult time.

I am passionate about what I do on an every day basis. I love being a lawyer and improving people's lives by assisting and guiding my clients to making decisions that change their lives for the better, minimize cost and avoid the State of Florida being involved or the court system. I hope that we will meet and build a strong relationship together. Please review the videos and written testimonials as to what some of my past clients had to say about their experience in working with me.

If you are interested and would like to learn more about my educational and professional career...

I graduated in 3 years with a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, in Political Science and a minor in Spanish from the University of Florida, as a member of Phi Beta Kappa and as an Anderson Scholar. I received my Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. While in law school, I was awarded the Florida Bar Foundation Public Service Fellowship, which allowed me to devote my first summer as a Fellow at the Legal Aid Service of Collier County assisting low income and otherwise disadvantaged clients in need of legal representation.

During my third year in law school, the Florida Supreme Court approved me to become a Certified Legal Intern, which allowed me to participate in the Gator TeamChild Juvenile Advocacy Clinic, where I represented and advocated for children in the dependency and delinquency system. I also served as an intern at the Southern Legal Counsel and as a judicial intern in the Probate Division of the Eighth Judicial Circuit of Florida. While attending school, I volunteered at St. Mathew's House Homeless Shelter, American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge, Three Rivers Legal Services, Restoration of Civil Rights Project, and Caring and Sharing Learning School in Gainesville, Florida.

As an attorney, I have volunteered my time by participating at Legal Aid Service of Collier County Pro Bono Bankruptcy Clinic, have counseled clients at many free legal clinics held by Legal Aid and prepared estate planning documents at the Wills for Heroes clinic hosted to help first responders and law enforcement personnel. Legal Aid Service of Collier County invited me to join the Advisory Board, where she was the Chair of the Pro Bono Committee for 3 years. In 2015, Legal Aid recognized me for my volunteer and pro bono work in our community by awarding me the Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award. I was also a mentor for a high school student through Take Stock in Children. I have to say that I am blessed with a wonderful family. Love living in SWFL, practicing yoga, traveling, spending time with my friends, and my loving husband, and enjoying life.
