Millions of people are sheltering at home right now. Considering we have additional free time on our hands, this is the perfect opportunity to do some organizing to help provide peace of mind for both you and your family members. One area often overlooked is planning or organization our digital information (e.g., online accounts, bank accounts, investments, credit cards companies, utility companies, social media, etc.). Usually one person in the household handles the online accounting, which could present a challenge for the other spouse or family members if something unforeseen suddenly occurred with the person normally handling this responsibility.
So, what can you do to help your loved ones and not leave them in the dark if they need to access these accounts? You can make list, including the company, website, and login information. You can share the information with your loved ones, so they can pick up where you leave off. A professional organizer can also assist you via a telephone call or in person after our stay-at-home order has been lifted.
